Delicious and juicy burger. Took longer than expected for a burger but it was worth it. I suggest to include even basic fries and drink as part of a combo

Welcome to Glasshalfull, downtown Carrboro's own optimistic restaurant, wine bar, and wine shop. Here's your invitation to gather your friends for a festive exploration of our delicious contemporary American cooking and intriguing selection of wines from around the world. Plenty of free parking make it easy to meet for lunch or dinner, or simply a cocktail around the beautiful bar. So as the sun sets on the Carrboro countryside and the candles cast their romantic glow, you'll be forgiven for imagining you're in "Paris," after all.
Lately I've discovered GlassHalfFull for lunch, and found it totally delightful. My personal favorites have been the appetizers. A few friends and a few appetizers makes for a whole civilized lunch event. Weather permitting, the outside seating is lovely, but inside, especially window tables, are plenty good too. This restaurant is also good for an after work glass of wine - great selection - and supper.

Rise offers a great selection of interesting, fresh-made donuts at decent prices. They also offer excellent sandwiches, from the Buffalo chicken sandwich to the fried jalapeño meatloaf sandwich to the huevos rancheros sandwich. Everything I've tried at Rise has been fantastic. The donuts run the gamut from traditional glazed, chocolate coated and raspberry jelly filled to apple fritters, maple bacon and even pineapple glazed with basil cream topped with chopped pistachios
I highly recommend Rise Biscuits and Donuts if you're in Carrboro or near any of their other locations in the Triangle and beyond.

This was our first time to Merritt's and believe me, we will go back! It's so good! Delicious bacon, breads and great atmosphere! I had a thick cut Turkey breast with bacon and it was huge and so tasty! My hubby got a North Carolina sausage and egg on sour dough that he was also thrilled with! We will visit every time we're in town!

Th Weaver Street market is a place to get great food at very good prices, and to sit outside in a lovely park-like setting surrounded by a few large trees, and by people sitting and enjoying food and friends, during the day or in the evening. Whenever we're in the area, we want to stop here, at least once, if not more. In addition to all the healthy and delicious food offerings including both hot and cold bars, a wide variety of yogurts, cheeses, coffees, sandwiches and many other grocery items, (as well as great ice cream pops) the market is also attached to a small mall with a handful of interesting shops to peruse.

Like other reviewers, I was bowled over by the abundance of foods available here. My friend and I finally settled on a falafel pita, baba ganoush, lamb shawerma, and Lebanese potato salad. Everything was pretty good, though certainly not terrific. Maybe other dishes are better. But our biggest problem was the volume level reached in the place when the lunch crowd grew big. It became almost deafening, so don't go here if you hope to have much of a conversation.

The food here is fantastic! We're so glad we gave it a try, and we'll definitely be returning. Everything I ordered was incredibly tasty, including the Truffle Artichoke Dip, Rotisserie Chicken, and Herb-Whipped Potatoes. The restaurant is cozy and the service is friendly, so all together, it was an excellent dining experience for dinner.

Like a true diner, we serve homemade food and breakfast all the time. We have comfy booths, as well as tables, and lots of high chairs and boosters for the little ones! We are a gathering place where locals are sure to see someone they know and visitors are likely to make new friends. We’re a community restaurant both in the sense that we are a local favorite and in the sense that we strive to be good neighbors and give back to our community
Have had high praise for Elmo's in the past and my family has always liked it as outlined in my previous reviews. Ate dinner here with my two daughters who are students at UNC.
However we ate fairly late on a Thursday night arriving around 8:40 PM and had several problems. Elmo's was not crowded at the time. A server promptly took our order. The order took a very long time to come out, much longer than normal.
Then when our food finally came out we discovered it was cold! We were going to tell our server but didn't see her and as it was late decided to go ahead and eat the food as was. One of my daughter's got macaroni and cheese but couldn't eat it. I tasted it and it agreed it didn't taste good.
Our server did not check back with us the whole meal. Despite being cold, the food was very good.
The main reason for this review is to let Elmo's Management know we had these problems. We will dine at Elmo's again and hopefully this was an anomaly.

Bigger Better Biscuits for Breakfast and Lunch! In brief, Sunrise was established in 1978 in Louisburg, NC (actually 1977 but that is a longer story) and has been responsible for providing Bigger Better Biscuits for Breakfast and Lunch ever since. Our biscuit recipe is based on my Grandmother's recipe. Her biscuits helped give her the stamina to give birth to 17 children and live to almost 100. Our Award-Winning Chapel Hill location is a Drive-Thru Only Restaurant for your convenience. The Louisburg location features a Drive-Thru option as well as seating. Our regular customers particularly value our great food and fast, friendly service. In addition to biscuits, we also serve hamburgers and hot dogs. Our sandwiches include barbecue, chicken salad and tuna salad (chicken and tuna salad in Chapel Hill only and made on-site). A real southern treat is our sweet tea. Come by soon! Our Chapel Hill restaurant is located at: 1305 East Franklin Street Chapel Hill, NC 27514 (919) 933-1324 Our Louisburg restaurant is located at: 208 S. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg, NC 27549 (919) 496-2609
This place is the best - worth coming to NC just for this. Biscuits melt in your mouth and it’s so fast and cheap that it should be illegal. We had a chicken biscuit (just buy it) and a BLT biscuit with an egg biscuit in reserve.

The ovens are turned on early. Six o'clock most days. Earlier on Sunday. Within an hour, bread is rising, apples are being sliced. Pecan pies are pulled hot from the oven and left to cool. Ice cream churns in the machine. Cups of coffee steam on the prep table, the baker's cup marked with chocolaty fingerprints. By midmorning, pork shoulder, rubbed with spices the day before, is slowly smoked. And white buckets are filled with sliced onions. Corn is shucked. The stock that cooked all night is taken off the stove and strained. Bags of fresh shrimp are delivered in old grocery store bags. The waiters arrive in groups, shirts and ties on hangers. By then, every burner in the kitchen is being used. Herbs are chopped. Scallops cleaned. Ovens at 500 degrees. All sauces are checked. Bartenders polish their shakers. Silverware is rolled and every surface is wiped down. Music. Lights. Doors are opened. Dinnertime. At Acme. Seven nights a week. Local never tasted so damn good.
The amazing desserts pulled this one out of the poor category. The main dishes disappointed----fishy salmon, slightly over cooked. Was a guest and didn't feel comfortable sending it back. Should have----- at 160.00 for three fish dinners and desserts and two glasses of wine.
Don't sit in the side room to the left of the entrance; the hard wall acoustics make it so someone talking in a normal voice can be heard by all-----and the tables are also too close together to avoid hearing everything....everything....everything
