The original Thai restaurant for Bendigo. The food is amazing. The range is huge, still trying our way through the menu and it always comes up trumps. Just love this place,

I had one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a long time at this restaurant. I dined solo for lunch before the Edith Head Exhibition at the Bendigo Gallery. Very nice restaurant with hospitable and knowledgeable staff. I ordered the chicken liver pate which...MoreThanks for your review, it doesn’t get much better than that. We are looking forward to seeing you back again soon. Regards Mark

opened today, awesome, can't wait to review it - Bendigo's Cumulus?
Waited for more than hour for our food. But, it was worth it because everything was excellent up to dessert. It was cooked with extreme care to details. THE YUMMIEST DINNER!

Step into our restaurant and watch your senses ignite. Smell the delicious smokiness of Bendigo's only Redgum char-grill and dedicated steak house, as we use our unique "cooking with wood" techniques. In the finest tradition of steakhouses across the globe we use locally sourced meat and the very best in fresh, regional produce. Enjoy in-house and regionally prepared Charcuterie, beef carpaccio, organic lamb, or local chorizo styled sausage. Try our free-range pasture-fed porterhouse or smoked Wagyu. Meat is always the star of the show.
My mate dragged me to this mecca for meat lovers - and I don't eat meat so I didn't expect much choice.
Let's start with him: he had half dozen of Tasmanian oysters and the daily special - T-bone. He drooled over both and a glazed look after he finished his meat.
I had the sashimi which was served quite unconventionally, yet imaginatively. The fish itself was fairly bland but the assortment of other tastes on the plate made it quite special. Small by very nice.
My choice for non-meat were somewhat limited, so I had the Moreton Bay Bug pizza which was delightful.
I also ordered the cauliflower side which was quite a highlight. Ample, different, tasty and filling.
Nice meal but quite expensive.
Service was excellent and attentive but not purile.
To their credit, they accepted Amex without surcharge, complaint or hassle. Thanks guys.

One "Field of Dreams" mushroom burger, and one "vegetarian" burger; a shared side of very nicely-charred sweet-potato fries, with herbed mayo. One Red wine, one large apple cider. A hearty, tasty lunch that matched our expectations on a cold winters day. No disappointments. Table service. Clean plates, cutlery and large paper napkins. Bill approx $53. Friendly staff.

Brougham Arms Hotel is located at 150 Williamson Street, Bendigo, just a short walk from Bendigo CBD and train station. Offering three distinctive dining areas, the restaurant and tapas courtyard, along with a public bar. The restaurant, recently recognized as having the best food and service in the state offers an a la carte menu that changes seasonally. Our pub fare reigns in the public bar. The tapas courtyard presents our acclaimed tapas menu using all fresh local produce. We also cater for private events, either exclusively in the tapas courtyard for up to 50 guests or in our restaurant. Our courtesy bus can be booked to collect and drop you off to ensure that everyone has a chance to enjoy a wine or two from our extensive wine list. Better still, why not book a room in our recently renovated boutique motel rooms. Open from 11am 7 Days a Week. Reservations are taken for lunch and dinner in our restaurant. We strongly recommend to call and book to avoid disappointment.
Had a lovely midweek lunch here with family on an extremely hot day! Thankfully the restaurant was cool and our waiter quick to take our drinks orders and fill our water glasses. We ordered the salmon cigars and the whiting tostadas, the salmon came with an Asian style salad and was really refreshing for a hot day, the tostadas were delicious and a perfect size for a light lunch, finished with great coffee served with a complimentary cookie. We have eaten here many times and always enjoy the food, the menu is always different and interesting and the food faultless.

“The Old Boundary” looks very inviting from the outside and having driven past it many times we thought to give it a try. Very good website and the menu was attractive particularly the traditional lamb roast. We arrived not to far into lunchtime to find the roast all gone.
Undaunted we decided on the fried whiting with chips and salad. Well this just wasn’t very good at all. The apparently large fish fillet arrived on top of the chips and mostly on top of the salad. The large serving of fish was actually around 70% oily batter surrounding what may or may not have been whiting. We removed as much of the batter as possible to get at our small serving of fish. The chips were soft and oily. The salad was acceptable except where it had been sitting under the battered fish. I really don’t like to give a negative review but, gee wiz,you expect better than this for your hard earned.
In the end we didn’t eat much of any of it. I can only assume there may not have been a senior chef in the kitchen and that the oil was not at an appropriate temperature to prevent excess oil absorption. There are certainly better offerings around Bendigo.

Popped in on a week night - lovely and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food tasted fresh like made from real food not a jar. A wonderful meal of beef vindaloo, lamb madras, garlic naan and raita. Pricing good at $53 for two including two soft drinks. Entree and dessert probably not needed if you are each having your own main - we have wbiugh leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Plenty generous - a main with rice and naan could feed two adults. Delicious!!!
